My Concise Saga of Mr Nicholas Bredimus — an Incredible Inventor and Designer

Are you aware of the extent to which computerization has dramatically changed the face of hospitality and air travel as we have known them in past years? Behind all of this is New Jersey native Nicholas Bredimus. He has worked on initiatives ranging from the creation of software programs that automate resource and time intensive processes to improving air safety and even designs for high-value houses.

Anyone could have foreseen, mind you, that with his heritage he was certain to rise to the top. Its lines can be followed back into ancient history and in fact Bredimus’ ancestry can be linked to much of Europe. From his mother’s side, for example, he boasts Scottish and German lines. The paternal line, by contrast, were born in Luxembourg and England, from where his forebears ultimately migrated in the late 1800s.

And following their arrival in America, the family maintained its uncompromising work ethic and determination to thrive and survive. Nicholas, along with his two brothers and four sisters, was a child of a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who was a practicing nurse. Nicholas would live in the Lone Star State for a number of years as well as in Reston, VA, Scottsdale, AZ and Kansas City, MO. Following the completion of his schooling, he engaged in quite a few prominent jobs with several of the most distinguished and largest airlines. Among these was included the Vice Presidential position for Republic Airlines, Trans World Airlines (TWA), and Hughes Airwest. Most notable, however, was his role as a visionary programmer for the airlines. Nicholas Bredimus is probably most recognized for the aircraft maintenance computer program he crafted on behalf of US Airways, which would soon become an industry standard. Of course, this was just one of his significant developments for airlines and for the hotel sector. His hotel reservation software is on its way to becoming as commonly used as the aforementioned software, and his room booking system empowered a great number of major sectors of the hotel industry to shift to a pc based architecture. He went on to develop a program tagged QuikTix, an automatic ticket sales network.

Although this was definitely his specialty, Mr Nicholas Bredimus often worked in areas not connected to software. In his own company — Bredimus Systems — as a divisional manager with American Express, and as the first president of AMR Travel Services his career speaks for itself.

Having departed from the businesses which first gave him fame, his capabilities are nonetheless still exercised constantly. His interest now is with the architectural concerns behind the design of environmentally sound, hitech upscale homes.
